Denis Villeneuve recently appeared for aQ&A session at the Directors Guild of Americatheater in Los Angeles forDune: Part Twowith Steven Spielberg and theJurassic Parkdirector couldn’t help but just praise Villeneuve’s work. Spielberg said,

Felini built his own worlds, Tim Burton obviously, Wes Anderson, Peter Jackson, James Cameron, Christopher Nolan, Ridley Scott, Guillermo Del Toro.

The list goes on but it’s not that long of a list but I I deeply, fervently believe you are one of its newest members.”

So a few days later when I decided that I would attempt to become a filmmaker, I went back on the ice ring with a new name on my shirt, Spielberg.

Steven Spielberg is the most commercially successful director the world has ever seen and will certainly go down in history as one of the greatest directors of all time.
