X-Men ’97will have surprise cameos just like its predecessor,X-Men: The Animated Series, as confirmed by the series’ executive producer. While the original show revolved around mutants, it also saw several Avengers paying them a visit.

“It’s exactly the same level of cameos as the original series. Even though X-Men ‘97 is not in the sacred timeline, there is a universe of ‘90s cartoons that we know. Because of ‘Loki’ and every other multiverse story, we know that if your brain wants to go there, you know there’s always potential for connections.”

He echoed the same statement in his interview withAgents of Fandom, teasing fans with the idea ofX-Men ’97bringing back the fun cameos from the first installment.
“I will say that, you know, just like the original series had some really fun cameos that you didn’t expect to happen, you can expect the same thing in X-Men 97.”

He also mentioned the beauty of producing content for television as compared with creating for films. Indeed, the cameo roles are exciting prospects for the show.
