After a stagnant month of April that mainly saw Ubisoft’sThe Division 2staying atop the weekly UK sales chart, Saber Interactive’s new co-op shooterWorld War Zhas finally caused a shakeup.
For the sixteenth week of 2019,World War Zcame out as the big winner on the weekly UK gaming charts. As the only major new release of this week,World War Zdidn’t have a whole lot of competition to ensure a successful launch. The Division 2, whichheld the top spot previously, fell down on the chart this week to third place whileFIFA 19slotted in at second.
Other than some other usual suspects inMario Kart 8 DeluxeandRed Dead Redemption 2rounding out the top five, this week’s chart was pretty barren when it comes to major movement. EA’sAnthemsaw a surge back up to fifteenth overall after previously having been out of the top-40, but this was mostly due in part to the game being on sale.Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remasteralso found its way to twentieth overall this week after making its debut on Xbox One and Switch.
