The first patch for the latest expansion will be featuring Trading Post alongside Primalist Tomorrow. Titled “10.0.5” the first patch will also bring White and Gray Transmogs during winter. The second patch, 10.0.7, will arrive in spring and bring Return to Forbidden Reach, Holiday Updates, and the Heritage Armor for humans and orcs. A point worth noting is that the content in the second patch will take players to Forbidden Reach, where they will witness the dracthyr, as they “return to their place of confinement along with some unexpected guests.” Theofficial blog postabout the roadmap states that the repeatable world content “will set up the next major chapter of Dragonflight” with its conclusion.

After the arrival of the first two patches, Season 2 of World of Warcraft Dragonflight will hit the live servers of the MMORPG. Patch 10.1 will kick off a major chapter in Dragonflight, featuring a new zone, raid, mythic+ dungeon pool, and a wide variety of improvements to the user interface. As the first season in 2023, Season 2 will also be coming with professions updates.

The fourth major patch of 2023, 10.1.5, will feature a mega-dungeon alongside world events and updates focusing on content and system. And the last two updates will prepare the expansion as it completes a full year and wraps everything up. That being said, do note the company’s statement about the content and timing of the patches, as they “are subject to change and will evolve based on player feedback.”

While World of Warcraft Dragonflight had a rough landing when it first opened its wings on November 28, it is now safe to say that most of the technical issues have been fixed. Based on the general reception of the expansion, we can now say that Dragonflight has made one of the most successful expansion launches in the long-running MMORPG’s history.
