Sophie Turner and Kit Harington will reunite after their eight-year stint inGame of Thrones. The duo will star in the horror,The Dreadful, directed by Natasha Kermani. The Gothic horror film has a unique connection to Turner and Harington’s previous project. Kermani’s film will be set in the backdrop of the War of the Roses, a historical event that inspired George R. R. Martin to come up with theSong of Ice and Fireseries.

Turner will also serve as a producer in the film, as she looks to revive her career which had no major successes sinceGame of Throneswrapped up in 2019. Harington also has to land a major success yet. Both the actors mostly made headlines in recent times for their personal lives.

Turner and Harington were both nominated for Emmys for their roles in the series.

The duo is set to star together once again in the Gothic horror movie,The Dreadful. UTA Independent Film Group and Film Bridge International will be handling the movie’s sales at the European Film Market (via Deadline). Directed by Natasha Kermani, the film explores Turner’s character Anne, who lives a solitary and harsh life with her mother-in-law Morwen during the War of the Roses. According to the logline, Harington will play“a man from their past”who returns to their lives.
Kermani has previously proved herself in the genre with projects like the SXSW horror film,Lucky, and the thriller film,Shattered. She also directed a segment on the anthology filmV/H/S/85, which is now streaming on Shudder. The production houses involved in the project are Redwire Pictures, Storyboard Media, and Black Magic Banner.

Turner also serves as a producer, alongside Luke Daniels, Patrick Muldoon, Patrick Hibler, Lucas Jarach, and Greg Lauritano. The actress, 27, and Harington, 37, appeared in several projects after theirGame of Thronesroles. However, both lacked largely successful films or series after their eight-season run.
