There’s a lot going on inStarfield. Whether you’re exploring planets, completing quests, building outposts, or just being the dastardly space pirate you’ve always wanted to be, the possibilities are practically endless. But I bet you’ve never experienced a moon crash into another planet, right? Me neither, but one player recently encountered a strange glitch and got to bear witness to exactly that.

Is Bethesda ‘Clapping Back’ at Negative Starfield Reviews?

Bethesda is following up on negative Starfield reviews on Steam, here’s why.

Reddit userDuctTapeNinja99took to the Starfield subreddit to share their clip of the experience, which appears to be the result of a bizarre visual glitch. you’re able to check out the clip in the post below, which shows the player standing on a moon as it collides with another planet. It all happens very quickly, and it’s fair to say that the end result is fairly anticlimactic, but it’s a cool little experience nonetheless.

Exactly what caused the visual glitch is unknown, but it’s doubtful that it can be replicated. It could be a case of the player having too many mods installed, which is causing some funky shenanigans to occur in their game. But, in reality, this looks like a case of right planet, right time.

With Starfield being such a massive RPG, glitches are sure to appear from time to time. Thankfully, this one was ultimately harmless and didn’t result in any game-breaking bugs. Bethesda has been keeping an eye on things though, releasing new patches every so often, filled with bug fixes, quality of life improvements, and new features.

The most recent update, known as patch 1.8.86, was deployed earlier this month. For PC players, the update finally added Nvidia DLSS support, a feature that fans had been desperate for ever since the game launched in September. Another requested feature was also included in Starfield’s latest update - the ability to eat! Players are now able to ingest food and drink items upon finding them in the environment, truly groundbreaking stuff.
