Starfieldhas been calledBethesda’s least-glitchy game. Based on the developer’s track record for providing expansive and wildly popular RPGs that also have, at times, some hilarious bugs, that can be considered a big step forward for the company. However, one player has just uploaded a video that seems on-track for Bethesda, complete with a glitch to rivalFalloutandThe Elder Scrolls.

In Starfield, players fast travel around several star systems using spaceships equipped with Grav Drives. A lot of players have had the misfortune, when traveling to a new system, of taking an asteroid along for the ride, with the big chunk of rock tailing their ship indefinitely. However, this new video makes it appear that it’s also possible to string along the biggest city in the galaxy on your space-faring journeys.

I Picked The Wrong Time To Step Away From Starfield

Forgetting your way is annoying. Forgetting your way on a ship that’s self-destructing is deadly.

Moving their ship into a third-person view and shifting the camera around, the player, who goes by the Reddit handle Kaleo5, shows that yes, what appears to be the whole city of New Atlantis has been plucked right off the surface of Jemison.

The Greatest Heist Ever

Rather than trailing the ship in one large katamari cluster, though, the city floating through space appears to be connected in a twisting, liner format. This could be due to parts of New Atlantis being segmented from each other in the game, but multiple familiar sights to those who’ve played through the introductory city can be seen in the line, including the large, stony pond outsideThe Lodgein the MAST District and some high-rise buildings (possibly from the Residential District). The video shows that the action is occurring in the space outside Venus, so it’s clear that that player had, in fact, left the Alpha Centauri system with New Atlantis in tow.

While the player didn’t specify the events that caused this glitch to happen, another Reddit user, AdonisGaming93, shared an experience that also caused New Atlantis to follow them around. After taking off from New Atlantis, stealing a ship, and selling it toThe Crimson Fleetat The Key, they exited the space station and entered their ship, which was somehow still parked at the New Atlantis spaceport. After taking off, they said the whole city followed them, just like it does in the above video.

While we can only speculate about how SSNN would be left to report this fascinating development, it seems to just be an isolated and rather humorous glitch.
