The special episode of the official Xbox podcast revealed the company’s“vision for the future”and gave fans several updates about its plans regarding first-party exclusives, Game Pass, hardware, and more. It confirmed that the company would be bringing some exclusive titles to other platforms.

One of the main announcements that was made during the podcast was that Xbox Showcase is coming back this June 2024 and will feature major reveals of upcoming games on the platform. This news, although exciting, seems more like an attempt to shift fans’ focus from the exclusive title update.

The first update that fans received at the podcast was that four first-party exclusive titles will be going multi-platform. Phil Spencer did not name any games saying that the developers have plans and the announcements are coming soon. Spencer added that when these games are announced for other platforms“it’ll make sense”but it has not gone well with the fans who think that this is only a test and soon many other titles will be following suit.

However,Xboxmade another announcement to take fans’ focus away from this update saying that its popular Games Showcase is returning in June. Thisannouncementwas made by Matt Booty who said that 10 major releases are coming up for players in 2024 and more details will be shared at the event“coming up pretty soon.”

The company also confirmed this via its official handle onX/Twittersaying that“2024 is going to be great”for the players around the world “and we can’t wait to see you in June.”The upcoming event could bring some major announcements such as upcoming games, updates on next-gen consoles, and more.

When Will the Event Take Place and What to Expect?

It has been announced that the event will be held in June but any specific date has not been revealed as of now. The event has usually taken place in and around the now officially dead E3 and the last event happened a few days after the Summer Game Fest. The event has already been announced by Geoff Keighley so it might be held around the same time again.

Matt Booty said that there are more games in development other than the announced titles so there could be some reveals. Players can also expect to see more onAvowedandIndiana Jones and the Great Circleas these titles still do not have a release date.

The event could also give out details on exclusive-titleGears 6orThe Elder Scrolls 6. The company could also share news on the next-gen console that it is currently working on and the reveal of the new hardware that was teased during the podcast for the holidays. It is now only a matter of time before fans know what exactly the company has planned for them.

The event could bring new game announcements and console updates.
