Season 2ofÂCall of Duty: WarzoneÂandBlack Ops Cold WarÂis well underway, so you’ve probably explored all there is to explore with the new update. Well, fear not, as Raven Software have just released a new playlist update featuring a brand newWarzoneÂmode called “Exfiltration Trios”. If you haven’t jumped into the new mode yet, and you’re curious what all the fuss is about, we’ve put together a handy guide to get you ready for battle.
What Is Exfiltration Trios?
On July 13, 2025, Raven Software released a playlist update forÂCall of Duty: WarzoneÂand dropped a brand new mode out of nowhere! This wasn’t the only change in yesterdays playlist update, check out@ModernWarzone’s tweet below to see the other changes.
But what isWarzoneExfiltration Trios all about? The official description on the playlist reads:
“Call in the chopper! Grab and hold the radio until the end to win”
When players drop into Verdansk, the usual storm circle will appear, but there will also be a smaller yellow circle with a radio symbol on the map. Players must fight to find and grab the radio and hold it for 5 minutes before exfiltrating the area and winning the game.
Be aware, when you grab the radio everyone in Verdansk will know your exact location!
Everything else is pretty much the same, you’ll still have the opportunity to fight in the gulag, and everyone still starts with a pistol. It’s unlikely to happen, but players can also win by wiping out everyone else in Verdansk like a normal game ofÂWarzone.Â
