War Thunderhas become well-known for going all-out on April Fools Day, so fans are eager to know exactly what type of event is in store for 2022.
Ever since the ‘Little Ponies in The Sky’ event for April Fools 2013, theWar Thunderdevelopers haven’t let players down since. Last year’s April Fools prank saw a double whammy as two events were held simultaneously, the first being the TailSpin event, which featured a new art style for planes from the 1990’s Disney animation, TaleSpin.
The second of last year’s events was the Warfare 2077 event, which featured futuristic vehicles with advanced weaponry, technology, and defence systems, all focused on what the future of combat could look like.
So, with a brand new week-long event expected to arrive once more for 2022, what doesWar Thunderhave in store for fans this April Fools Day?
War Thunder April Fools Day 2022: Worm Thunder Event
To celebrate April Fools Day 2022,War Thunderwill be holding a massive three-week-long event known as ‘Worm Thunder’.
The event is now live-in game and will conclude on April 25th at 11AM GMT. According to the developers, the mission objective is to achieve control over three key points in the desert location. The Houses of the Bull and Hawk use the same imperial combat vehicles, but each House has its own unique combat unit. It is also advised to proceed with extreme caution, as firing guns and moving at high speed attracts the sand worm.
During the event, players can achieve 12 Marks of distinction by completing stages on the Path of Sand to earn a unique title, portraits, crests, and cinnamon bags. Check out the rewards below:
