One of the biggest games of the year,Marvel’s Spider-Man 2byInsomniac Games, may have had its release date window revealed by one of the game’s actors. Hollywood veteran actor Tony Todd, who plays the role of Venom in the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, posted an image to Twitter earlier today showing the actor in the process of motion-capture. Fans flocked to the post and left comments, one of which said “Can’t come quick enough.” Surprisingly, Todd replied to the fan’s comment with a fairly detailed bit of information pertaining to the release date window of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, as well as the marketing plan behind the game.

So far, we’ve yet to see much of Insomniac Games' anticipated sequel and thus far the only release date mentioned by either Sony and Insomniac Games has been a vague “Fall 2023” window.
Given how close Tony Todd is to the production, it would be safe to say that we’ll probably start seeing more of the game soon before the marketing blitz begins in August ahead of the eventual September release date. It’s worth noting that this isn’t a leak from a supposed insider or a random 4chan post, but instead an actor who is part of the production process and will most likely have more knowledge than any so-called insider.
Insomniac Games and Sony have been fairly coy when it comes to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, though we did recently get alive-action teaser trailer, and we’ve also recently learned that along with Insomniac’s other superhero project,Wolverine, Spidey’s second outing willfeature new dialogue technologies.
