Dragon Ball DAIMAhas been revolutionizing the entire franchise for four decades. Being Toriyama’s last work and a return to the original flair of Dragon Ball, the new series has already captured fans’ attention with its nostalgic art style and callbacks to classicDragon Ballmoments.

It has been filling in gaps in the plotlines and clarifying any ambiguities; however, of all that DAIMA has given to the fans (including mini Goku and Vegeta), the reveal of Vegeta’s Super Saiyan 3 form might be its biggest highlight yet.
This transformation for the proud prince of the Saiyan race isn’t just a power boost that puts him ahead of other Z fighters and makes him the strongest in DAIMA. This transformation serves as an homage to the legendary Akira Toriyama, celebrating his efforts through the years.

Vegeta’s long-awaited transformation
The decision to grant Vegeta a Super Saiyan 3 form addresses one of the most debated topics on the omissions inDragon Ball Z. While Goku famously unlocked the super-strong transformation during his fight with Majin Buu,Vegeta never achieved this form, maybe to keep Goku as the main protagonist.
This is not to say that Toriyama didn’t have an SSJ 3 form ready for Vegeta. His old art contained the form of the Saiyan Prince, yet Vegeta was able to unlock his absolute offense mode ofUltra Ego before SSJ 3.

Dragon Ball DAIMAfinally puts those debates to rest, showcasing Vegeta’s powerful new look.
