Angle snapping is all about your mouse. It is a technology that already exists in some high-tech mice, but not every player can afford to get an expensive mouse. This is where the angle snapping programs come in to help you get that technology enabled on your cheaper mouse.
What Is Angle Snapping?
Angle snapping is similar to a filter that purifies your mouse movement and removes unwanted whiffing. Angle snapping does not remove the weapon recoil, but it somehow predicts what is your actual mouse movement is and what an unwanted movement. Imagine there is a small hole or tiny trash on your mouse pad. When you hover your mouse over it, your aim will have an unwanted move, that’s where angle snapping comes in to help you with making sure that the unwanted movement is not translated into the game as your aim movement.
If your mouse already supports angle snapping, you can probably find the corresponding settings in the dedicated driver program. But in case you don’t have such a privilege, here is how to activate it through a third-party program.
How To Use Angle Snapping
The third-party program for angle snapping is available for free atGithub. Once you are on the GitHub page,click on the 2.1 release and then download the file named “InterAccel.zip.“Before you start the installation process, make sure that Microsoft Visual C++ Redistribution 2015-2022 is already installed on your PC.
Now, extract everything inside the downloaded zip file. Go to the Driver folder and run the"driver_install"file. When the installation process is finished, reboot your PC once, and then move on to the “Application x64” folder and run the “interGUI” file. This will open up the angle snapping program.
At first, the program will ask you whether to trigger the configuration wizard or not; make sure to click"yes"here. Then, you will need to enter your mouse’s refresh Hz as well as DPI. Make sure to insert the info correctly. Once done, the program will give you the best settings for angle snapping.
Leave all settings as they are and only adjust the parameter called"Angle Snapping.“The default value for this parameter is recommended, but you can try it out after running Valorant and then change it back and forth to find your best setup.
Can You Get Banned For Angle Snapping?
The honest answer is we don’t really know. Thus far, we haven’t seen any player reports of getting banned for angle snapping. Regarding the fact that this is already a built-in feature in some higher-tier mice, it shouldn’t make any trouble for you, but using it through a third-party program might be risky if Riot Vanguard detects the angle snapping program as an illegal third-party app for any reason.
