Bandai Namco fans are in for a treat this year asElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtreeis finally arriving next month after a long wait. The upcoming DLC recently got a story trailer that highlighted what it has in store for fans now. But that’s not it; another much-awaited game,Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, is likely to see the light of day this year.

Including the official announcement trailer, Bandai Namco has revealed three trailers for the game now. Although it is said to include 164 characters in the final roster, only 25 characters have been revealed yet. The last game in theBudokai Tenkaichiseries was released 15 years ago so fans can expect a dramatic improvement inSparking! Zero.

When it’s part of one’s childhood, seeing it again sure doesn’t leave any room for patience. Fans have been speculating aboutSparking! Zero‘s release date for quite some time now and the new leak may just help in satisfy their hunger. The game was said to be released this year and this might seal the deal.

In a data mine shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by a user dubbed SergioM3, it mentions August 06, 2025, just below the game’s name.

That solidifies the game’s arrival, as all the games in theBudokai Tenkaichiseries have arrived in October only in Japan. Considering this, we can say that the game is just five months away if all the developmental work is finished by then.

While the release date is still under wraps,DBZfans already believe the game is at its peak. They are especially intrigued bya version of Gohan that belongs to the alternate timeline. Other characters revealed in the trailers include Master Roshi, Piccolo, Beerus, and more.

However, some aspects in a few characters, like their voice, may be an issue here. For one,Kid Gohan’s voice from the original series isn’t likely to make it to the game.
Other than that, everything shown in the game is just a cherry on top of theBudokai Tenkaichicake. We don’t know for sure if the date revealed in the data mine will be accurate, but it is very likely that the game will hit the shelves this year only.
