PushDustInfrom Twitter found a bit of interesting news, especially for fans invested in the nextSuper Smash Bros. UltimateDLC fighter. Apparently theofficial Nintendo UKsite has the following text on the fourth DLC character’s page as: “©SNK CORPORATION ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.”
Here are some screenshots of the actual page, in case the page is taken down or edited at some point:

This leaves the natural question of which SNK character would most likely be featured in the fighting game. Their most well-known properties includeKing of Fighters,Metal Slug, andSamurai Shodown. Of the threeSamurai Shodownhas the best chance of being featured, as the most recent title will be releasing for Nintendo Switch and promoting it throughUltimatewould be great advertising. Although personally I wouldn’t say no to any character fromKing of Fighters.
Update: While nothing conclusive has been released as of now, it looks as if this leak could be caused by a mix-up. As Reddit userKING K. ROOL GETpoints out, the fourth DLC character forSNK Heroineson Switch has the same trademark and file size as the one listed forUltimate:
We’ll keep an eye out for things but it’s possible we won’t have our dreams of classic SNK characters filled in the near future.
Samurai Shodownis available now forPS4,Xbox One, and PC and will release for Nintendo Switch in Japan onDecember 12, 2019. The Nintendo Switch port should be arriving just in time to feature all fiveDLC charactersthat are releasing between now and then.
Late last monthDragon Quest‘s Hero released as thelatest DLC fighterfor the title. Nintendo released a new 22 minute video featuringUltimatedesigner and director Masahiro Sakurai as he delved into into the moveset of Hero.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimatenow holds the record for thehighest peak viewershipfor any game in EVO history. According to esports expert Rod BreslauIt, it had over 279,000 viewers on Twitch at its peak. It had themost competitors registeredandheadlined the entire tournament.
