The controversial anime,Oshi no Ko,has plenty of plotholes within its storyline. It doesn’t even seem like Aka Akasaka thought them through to the end and it shows during the progression of the manga. The audience was baffled by the existence of the supernatural inOshi no Ko,not entirely understanding the purpose of Tsukuyomi or Crow Girl, but the biggest crime was the terrible ending.

Aka Akasaka had a lot of promising storylines inOshi no Kowith exciting premises that could’ve led to something big. It is a thriller after all but the mangaka was all bark and no bite. None of the supernatural stuff amounted to anything substantial or thrilling. Crow Girl especially just existed for the sake of calling it supernatural. Moreover, with the manga’s recent ending, fans are even more disappointed by how rushed it seemed.
DidOshi no KoActually Ever Make Sense?
The appeal ofOshi no Kowas the unique and darker depiction of being an idol and the Japanese entertainment industry. Idols are often stalked and murdered by toxic male fans who will do anything to “make them theirs.” Many real-life examples terrify the public to the bone.
What happened to Ai Hoshinocould happen in real life. Moreover, it did admittedly have an interesting concept of reincarnation and a murder mystery aspect that kept the viewers on their toes. However, the other plot points withinOshi no Koalso amounted to nothing, despite their great potential.

Oshi no Ko Gets the Jujutsu Kaisen Treatment as Aka Akasaka’s Vision Takes a Massive Hit with Manga’s Downfall
Now thatOshi no Kohas ended, fans can retrospect on it as a whole and have realized one glaring problem: the supernatural part. The Crow Girl could’ve played a much bigger in resurrecting Gorou and Sarina as Aqua and Ruby but this was never even confirmed. She only exists to flip-flop between having her faith in humanity restored and messing with the twins even further.
If the manga had limited the supernatural storyline to just reincarnation, it would’ve been acceptable. Many fans accuse Aka Akasaka of adding but forgetting Crow Girl due to boredom and not having a real plan. She would’ve been a great plot device to drive Aqua’s revenge against Hikaru but even then, she seemed powerless to prevent his tragic fate.

Oshi no Ko’sEnding Deserved Better than Being Rushed
Aqua’s revenge against Hikaru led him down a dark path that could’ve been prevented if he had the proper healing and wasn’t so bitter. While Hikaru definitely deserved to suffer and get caught, the young Hoshino’s rushed death didn’t make sense. The grief of Kana and Ruby was quite intense and sad.
Oshi No Ko Manga Ending: Aka Akasaka Leaves His Fans Devastated
Both the twins deserved a much better ending but when the story is written by Aka Akasaka,a rushed ending is all they will get. Fans have agreed the mangaka doesn’t exactly know how to tie his plotlines together, something also observed inKaguya-sama: Love Is War.
