Under Night In-Birth II Sys: Celes Standard Edition
WHERE TO PLAY
Under Night In-Birth 2 is the perfect fighting game for anyone who’s been craving the fast-paced and ridiculous action of an anime fighting game.
What’s In The Standard Edition:
What’s In The Season Pass:
The Standard Edition comes with just the base game and costs $50. However, the meat of this deal is how you’ll get the Season Pass for free with any pre-order of UNI 2 until the end of March (20-08-2025). With the Season Pass, you’ll get the three upcoming, unrevealed DLC characters for free, and you’ll immediately unlock Kuon (who is normally locked behind finishing the story). If you plan on playing UNI 2 and don’t want to spend the extra $10 on the Deluxe edition, pre-ordering the base game right now for the free characters is an amazing deal.
Under Night In-Birth II Sys: Celes Deluxe Edition
The Deluxe edition is perfect if you just want a good deal on announcer voice packs, or if you’re buying this game after March. It’s only $10 more (for a total of $60) but you get a free Season Pass, early access to the game if you’re on Playstation, and 25 announcer voices.
What’s In The Deluxe Edition:
Who This Is Best For
The Deluxe version comes with a few nice perks, like playing the game three days early (PlayStation only) and getting the 25 announcer voices. Since you’ll get the Season Pass for free as long as you order before March, the Deluxe Edition will be worth more after that deal expires.
However, while the free Season Pass deal is in effect, you’ll want to stick with the base game and save the extra $10, unless you’re on PlayStation and want the 3-day head start over everyone else.

Under Night In-Birth II Sys: Celes Characters
Players will have access to 21 characters from the first game and also guest characters Eltnum fromMelty Bloodand Akatsuki from the Akatsuki Blitzkampf games. But that’s not all, as three new characters will be added too - Tsurugi, Kaguya, and Kuon. Here’s a short breakdown of each one.
Tsurugi wields a gargantuan shield and has a similar game plan to big-bodied characters in other fighting games. Meaning, Tsurugi wants to close the gap as soon as possible and bully opponents up close with armor. To help him with his game plan, Tsurugi has a stance where he’s armored against all mid and high attacks, doesn’t take chip damage, and has two follow-ups from it - a gap-closing low, and a short hop for overhead mixups.

Kaguya is a new gunslinger character, bringing her two unique pistols to the fray. Her normal attacks are similar toBlazblue’s Noel Vermillion in that they explode outward and cover a surprising amount of space. What sets Kaguya apart is her mobility options like a command air dash and her 3C, where she lunges forward and fires her guns at the same time. This attack has some unique follow-ups where she bounces energy mines around the screen, which can lead to some dangerous setups on your opponent’s wake-up or be used for general mobility.
Kuon wasn’t available in the last Beta, so the only impressions so far of him are based on his gameplay trailer. From the looks of it, Kuon will have large multi-hitting attacks similar to Carmine and the ability to teleport. His force function allows him to float around the screen in a way that’s similar toMarvel Vs Capcom’s flight modes.

Returning Cast

Is Under Night In-Birth II Sys: Celes 2 Worth It?
Best Parts Of Uni 2:
Under Night In-Birth II Sys: Celes will be worth your time if you loveanime fighting gamesand want something a little bit more complicated than whatStreet FighterorTekkencan offer you. In UNI, these extra bells and whistles come in the form of different mechanics built around the 1v1 fight itself. Examples include the GRD system, where players are rewarded with a damage boost every 16.5 seconds based on how well they perform in those time intervals, and Veil Off where you can increase your damage at the cost of slowly draining your EXS meter. These mechanics create a unique, fast-paced flow to the game that can’t be found in any other fighting game.
Veterans of the series will also appreciate the many updates brought by UNI 2. All the characters from itspredecessorreturn, along with three new characters and three new DLC characters on the way. Each returning character gets updated art and a new special move added to their skill set. More importantly for any fighting game fan, UNI 2 will finally have rollback netcode, giving long-time fans a smooth multiplayer experience instead of suffering through the stutters of delay-based netcode.
