Ubisoft’s highly anticipated action-adventure game,Skull and Bones, was released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on June 24, 2025. Throughout development, the game faced several delays and setbacks. Unfortunately, the game has not been well-received by the fans despite Ubisoft hyping up the game so much.

Recently, Ubisoft revealed some stats about the game while announcing the game’s first season. Ubisoft claimed thatSkull and Boneshas over four hours of average daily playtime but still hasn’t revealed how many units it has sold or how many active players it currently has. The game was first announced in 2017 and reportedly cost $200 million to make.

This information was released to the press while the studio was announcingSkull and Bones‘ first season, Raging Tides. While this may seem like an incredible milestone for the game, Ubisoft still hasn’t revealed the number of players that are actively playing the game, in fact, there’s still no information regarding the sales of the game.

Skull and Bones‘ hefty price tag of $70 indeed left many shocked, however, Ubisoft’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, believes that it is totally justified. In a recent interview, Guillemot said (viaPCGamer),
“You will see that Skull and Bones is a full-fledged game – It’s a very big game and we feel that people will really see how vast and complete that game is. So it’s a really full triple-A, quadruple-A game that will deliver in the long run.”

The game reportedly cost $200 million to create and Ubisoft has no hopes of profiting off this game.Skull and Boneswas first announced in 2017 and since then, the game has faced several setbacks thatslowed down its development.
