Ubisoft has released the worldwide gameplay reveal ofFar Cry 6, but there’s one two-legged character that’s stealing the show.

Fans of theFar Cryfranchise are choosing to ignore the new weapons, Dani Rojas’ introduction, and the October 7 release date, in order to swoon over a sausage dog called Chorizo.

Chorizo Far Cry 6

Breaking Bad’sGiancarlo Esposito has been the face of Far Cry 6since its reveal trailer debuted at the Ubisoft Forward event last summer. However, it looks like Esposito’s antagonist will become weak at the knees fairly easily after setting eyes on Chorizo. Â

Chorizo is a good boy and ‘Fang for Hire’ that can be recruited by your character, despite being disabled. Chorizo uses a wheelchair to support his hind legs, but his modified ride is also equipped with spikes.

The Fang for Hire system is a returning mechanic, where you’re able to recruit various animals to be by your side in conflict.

Chorizo has been labelled the “dangerously distracting wiener dog,” and it looks like those puppy eyes will be a hindrance to gameplay.

Twitter Reacts

Xbox’s social media manager ‘Stein’ kicked off the Chorizo appreciation posts by stating “I will protect him at all costs.”

Chorizo has even persuaded gamers who are not interested inFar Cry 6to pre-order the game, and others have threatened to “burn the world to the ground” if anybody hurts him.

A campaign directed at Ubisoft’s store has also begun, with Chorizo fans petitioning for a plushie of the wiener dog.

TV host and creator Trisha Hershberger even admitted that she wasn’t a dog person, but melted at the sight of Chorizo’s floppy ears.

Ubisoft environment artist Karen Stanley also flaunted her Chorizo mouse mat, which signaled to admirers thatmerchandise was on the way.

The most important aspect about Chorizo and all of the tameable animals - including a crocodile - is that you can pet them. With that information, it’s clear thatFar Cry 6has won 2021.
