Tokyo Revengers' story was well-received by most readers; however, some fans believed that it went downhill after Draken’s death. There were several instances when fans felt thatMikey’s actions in the seriesdid not align well with his character arc. On top of that, the final battle between Mikey and Takemichi stretched for far too long.
Regardless, everyone was, in fact, thrilled to see how Ken Wakui planned on concluding Takemichi’s long and unforgiving journey. The series had several heartbreaking moments, and Takemichi lost so many of his friends while trying to save Mikey. Well, some fans would be delighted to know that the mangaka ended the series on a good note.
The manga concluded with both Mikey and Takemichi going ten years back in time and working out their differences. In this timeline, Takemichi becomes one of the founders of Toman. Together, Takemichi and Mikey lead Toman without losing Draken or anyone else from their group. But after reaching the top of the world and leading the most powerful delinquent biker gang, Mikey finally disbands Toman.
Takemichi walked on a twisted path to save the love of his life, Hinata. Our beloved crybaby superhero saw Hinata die in several timelines, but in the end, it all works out in his favor. In the final chapter, we see Takemichi and Hinata getting married while surrounded by all their friends, including Mikey.
While it’s unfortunate that we won’t get new chapters of Tokyo Revengers manga anymore, the anime series is still ongoing. The televisionseries will return with a second season, the Christmas Showdown Arc, in January 2023.
