He talks about the long development process of the game and its upcoming DLC, Shattered Space, which offers a huge map extension to the already vast world of the game.

Starfield Is Different From Elder Scrolls And Fallout

Bethesda is known for making expansive games that offer a huge map with endless possibilities and multiple ways to approach the game. With Starfield it managed to outperform its previous game since the game is huge in size and takes place on alien planets, which widens the scope and horizon of the game even further.

Howard reveals thatStarfieldtook more than 7 years to be completed, given the sheer scope and size of the game. The team behind the game was sceptical about incorporating different planets in the game since they were not sure whether such an addition would work or not. They eventually decided to incorporate it, and the rest is history.
