Talking about Tom Cruise and his thirst for adrenaline with stunts in his films never seems to get exhausting, and one of the reasons for that is he always manages to find ways to shock the audience with new and more deadly stunts than ever before. And what is most commendable of all is that he needs no stunt doubles to perform the most deadly parts, as he’s his own stuntman.

Thus, with so many years of facing death, the star has developed a balance between his performance in front of the camera and managing to defy human limitations at the same time. This was expressed in detail by Wade Eastwood, the stunt coordinator forMission: Impossible- Dead Reckoning Part One,who said that among all the stars he knew, Cruise excelled them all.

Stunt Coordinator Wade Eastwood Reveals Just How Amazing Tom Cruise Is In Performing Stunts

From fighting in flying helicopters to withholding his breath with tremendous underwater pressure always on top of him,Tom Cruisejust makes everything seem as easy as taking a walk in a park. This unique attribute of his to perform all his stunts with perfection is almost unheard of in the industry, so much so that even seasoned stunt coordinators like Wade Eastwood are impressively baffled.

In a recent interview with theMotion Pictures Association, the stunt coordinator and second unit director for theEyes Wide Shutstar’s latest film in theMission: Impossiblefranchise, opened up about all the things that go into choreographing an entire action sequence. He said that his approach to working with his stars and his stunt team is to prepare them for stunts so much that they are the best at doing it.

But when it comes to Cruise, it’s different from the stuntmen as they just have to perform the sequence, while the star has to be conscious of facing and acting for the camera at the same time. He said:

“When I’m drifting a car or flying a helicopter, I’m doing it. But when Tom does it, he has to do it as Ethan while watching out for bogeys or what might go wrong. So, he can’t necessarily look where I would because he’s also got to find the lens and the light, playing to different emotions than what he might be feeling while drifting a car through a narrow street, hitting a wall, or bouncing off a car. To do it at that level requires unbelievable skill.”

Thus, when it comes to some hardcore, death-defying action, almost no one is better than Cruise in the industry.

Other Superhuman Talents Possessed By Tom Cruise

Apart from his insane and almost superhero-esque physical training regimen and diet, the star also possesses other talents that might just prove he’s a superhuman.

In the past, it was revealed that the star may just be one of the fastest on his feet in the industry with a top speed measured at 17 Miles per Hour, which is why his runs in his films are so iconic. Along with that, one of his co-stars also revealed that he may be superhuman because he seldom seems to sleep during a project, and he doesn’t even appear sleepy at all during those times.
