Twilight of the Godsis the latest offering by Zack Snyder, following a young woman on a quest for revenge against the gods, specifically, Thor. The plot of the show might be reminiscent of the originalGod of War, which similarly focused on one mortal’s roaring rampage of revenge on the gods. However, there seems to be a little more to the story that might be becoming a familiar trope for Zack Snyder’s works.

From what can be pieced together from the trailer of the show, it seems that the plot might have more in common withZack Snyder‘s other Netflix IP, Rebel Moon. The protagonist of the show, Sigrid, assembles a slew of warriors to fight the gods, leading a rebellion against their tyranny.

Fans are convinced that the show might be taking a few cues from theGod of Warfranchise, which also began dabbling in Norse Mythology with a plotline in its initial games. The animation style that the story bosts also has hints of the works of Genndy Tartakovsky, who has delivered such critically acclaimed series asPrimalandSamurai Jack.
