Thelatest episode ofDandadanhas reintroduced the Dover Demon, Mr. Mantis Shrimp; the peculiar creature working for the Serpos. In addition to exploring his sad backstory, a fascinating yet weird fact about him was revealed by Seiko — the liquid that the demon was drenched in earlier which was assumed to be his blood, was in fact cow milk.
Thus, in a hilariously unexpected twist, Seiko solves the demon’s problem by offering him a neighbor’s cow, sending him on his merry way. This subplot, while absurd on the surface, is a clever nod to classic sci-fi tropes like UFO cow abductions. But more importantly, it potentially sets the stage forDandadan‘s satirical commentary on censorship.
