Many fans praiseTaylor Sheridanfor his exceptional storytelling which usually relies on simple and raw narratives with minimal cinematic embellishment. His passion for the craft exudes in the projects he creates, and moving from acting to writing is perhaps the best decision he has ever made for his career.

It evolved over time as I got older. I worked on this show for a couple years. I was 40 years old, and I was like, ‘You know what? This is about my ceiling. This is all I’m ever going to be, is twelfth banana on a TV show,’ and it felt very limiting to me creatively. So I quit and started writing.

Despite leaving the acting profession, we still see Sheridan take up cameo roles in his own projects. He remains grateful for his experiences because they taught him many things about the process of developing stories.

As someone who embodied several roles for a long time, Sheridan believes that the most important thing was to understand the journey of characters and what arcs they would take. This lesson has tremendously helped him in his scriptwriting.

Sheridan is behind some of the biggest TV franchises in Hollywood, such asYellowstone,Mayor of Kingstown, andTulsa King. He also created award-winning films such asSicario,Hell or High Water, andWind River, earning him a net worth of$70 million.
