While WWE fans and viewers across the world are still processing these sensational claims, an old interview seems to be augmenting McMahon’s woes even more. Former Hall of Famer and WWE legend Ric Flair made serious accusations in a 2023 interview when he revealed the dismal state of women’s wrestling and the unpleasant conditions that they had to encounter,

In an assault that allegedly pointed to the McMahon regime, Flair in an interview withTheo Von, revealed that while he never traveled or interacted with the female athletes during any part of his career, he was well aware of what was going on behind closed doors.

”I saw lady wrestlers in the old days but it’s a totally different thing and they were badly managed and mistreated. That’s why anything I could do to help them, transportation wise or buy them drinks and food.”

Flair’s comments come at the back of an already simmering gender-centric controversy in the WWE involving star athletes Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus who did not make the Summer Slam spot. Vince McMahon’s Team Responds To Lawsuit

While former WWE employee Janel Grant came forward with disturbing details of Vince McMahon’s allegedly lewd acts on January 25th 2024, the die was cast as early as 2021 when the Wrestling Federation boss was forced to step down after news of these allegations surfaced. Now, with Grant revealing herself as the victim and elaborating on these events in detail, McMahon is well and truly in the line of fire.

The WWE kingpin and his team will have to do major damage control to counter these claims, and the first step towards doing that was to put out a response to the lawsuit made public by Grant. In a first comment from the McMahon camp that featured inWrestling News, a spokesperson indicated that he is ready for battle.

“This lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and a vindictive distortion of the truth. He will vigorously defend himself.”

In controversial cases like this, there is a definite possibility that the domino effect will come into play with the chances of more skeletons being revealed from the McMahon closet. It now remains to be seen how this incident pans out and how the former WWE boss attempts to salvage his reputation.
