And while fans are undoubtedly thrilled to see The Lands Between continue to thrive, there’s another Miyazaki creation that’s been left in the shadows for far too long:Bloodborne.
The PlayStation 4 exclusive was a masterclass in atmospheric horror and tight, responsive gameplay, and fans have been clamoring for a sequel ever since. So why hasn’t Sony given Miyazaki the green light to return to Yharnam?

But with the success ofShadow of the Erdtree, it’s hard not to imagine what Miyazaki and his team could do with aBloodbornesequel. Given the creative freedom and resources to fully realize his vision, could Miyazaki create a game that not only lives up to the original but surpasses it?

The potential is certainly there.Bloodborne‘s world is ripe for expansion, its lore deep enough to fuel countless stories. And now, with the power of next-gen tech at their disposal, the talent at FromSoftware could create a game that not only looks and plays better than the original but pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in the action-RPG genre.
And let’s not forget about the legion of PC gamerswho have been begging for a chance to playBloodborne. A sequel would be the perfect opportunity to bring the game to a whole new audience and show the world what they’ve been missing out on.
So come on, Sony. Take a page out of Bandai Namco’s book and let Miyazaki do what he does best. Give usBloodborne 2, and watch as the profits—and the accolades—come rolling in.
