Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalonhas tons of quests to complete, making the adventure extend to close to 100 hours. While some of the side quests offer waypoints, some do not, making them harder to complete.

The Age of Excuse quest is one of those confusing objectives, where the game doesn’t give you any guidance on where to go. All the player knows is that an NPC is suffering a curse, and it’s up to them to find a cure.

How to Find the Cure for Berach

After speaking to Berach and agreeing to help him find a cure for his disease, players canlearn a clue from Jann Heberin the Horns of the South’s main town.He mentions that Druids are great with cures, so it’s up to you to find one.

Druid Drest is perfectly suited for the job, and he can be found near the main town of Horns of the South. Exit through the main entrance, take a right down to the beach, andfollow the shoreline going west to find a cave where Druid Drest is hiding.

The ‘go anywhere, do anything’ thing is so overrated.

Speak to Druid Drest and ask him about the curse. Before he is willing to help, you have to curb his hunger by handing over food. Any food will do here, so feel free to give him one that has minimal healing benefits.

Next, keep asking about the curse until he gives up the information. Druid Drest will inform you that there’s no such thing as a curse, and Berach is just riddled with paranoia. So, instead,we need to cure his paranoia with a Disgusting Health Potion.

Grindylows are the trolls that carry bone clubs in the Horns of the South region. The image attached shows what they look like.

Grindylow Tooth is a rare drop,so it may take some farming.I had to kill around 10 Grindylows for it to finally drop a tooth.

Completing the Age of Excuse Quest in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

Once you have the necessary ingredients, craft the Disgusting Health Potion and return to Berachto hand it over. Berach can be found in the same location you found him, under the bridge.

Speaking to Berach, you’re able to eithertell him the truth that there is no disease, or you can lie and play along with his “sickness.“I don’t recommend telling the truth, since that will lead to you having to kill him in a fight. This leads to a failed quest.

However, if you lie and confirm that he has a disease, he will believe the Disgusting Health Potion has worked, and you’ll be rewarded for the quest. The quest rewards include 900 XP and a Rare Soul Stone.
