Tactics Ogre: Reborn, a remake of the classicTactics Ogre, has returned with a huge glow-up and anenormous cast of charactersto recruit. One of the early recruits you can grab is one of the four Phoraena sisters,Cistina.

Cistina is a member of theLiberation Front, and she is a wanted rebel. She and her allies, Bayin and Folcurt, can all join your team if you follow the right steps to recruiting them.
Don’t Let Her Die In Chapter 1
Before you can recruit Cistina, you have toensure she survives a battleat the Arkhaiopolis of Rhime early in Chapter 1 of the game. Cistina will not be under your control in this battle, but she is capable of looking after herself for a good few turns. You can help her survive bygetting the enemies' attentionwith your main force and by bringing a fewhealers or healing itemsto use on her if she gets low on health. If you can burn down the mission boss quickly, it will make saving her even easier.

Recruit Cistina In Chapter 2
After the first battle in which you save her, you will not meet Cistina again until you are a little way intoChaos Chapter 2(Youcan notrecruit Cistina if you are on theLawRoute). After you win the battle at Krysaro, you will free Cistina’s ally Folcurt, who will tell you that more of the Liberation Front have been taken by Pirates.
Folcurt and Bayin will then join you temporarily for a battle against the pirates atQadriga Fortress, after which they will reveal that Cistina is held by a different group. Agree to save her, and you will face another battle atNdamsa Fortress, where Cistina and her allies will all remain as guests and out of your control again, and you must continue toensure they remain aliveif you want to recruit them.
Finally, you must complete one more battle atGolyatwith all three in the party, and again, all three must survive if you wish to recruit them. Once this battle is complete, sail toBoed Fortress,where there is no battle this time, but a cutscene with Cistina’s sister Cerya, after which you will be given a choice. Select “Come with us, Cistina,” and Cistina, Bayin and Folcurt (if they survived) will all join the party.
Cistina joins the party as aValkyrie with high Spears skill, but she has good stats across the board and can easily be changed into another class to help out the team.Folcurtjoins the party as aKnightwith high Swords skill, andBayinjoins the party as aWizardwith Cudgels skill (along with some Water and Dark magic). Both have excellent stats and will probably be stronger than your other characters in these classes.
