“For years, we’ve been privileged to tell stories in cherished settings like Shadowrun and Battletech.” Game Director of The Lamplighters League, Christopher Rogers, said in thepress release. “The Lamplighters League is set in a new world, it allows us the creative freedom to simultaneously create a narrative that supports gameplay and gameplay that supports the narrative. We love these characters and hope that players and fans enjoy getting to know them while exploring each one’s unique abilities the way we did.” he added.
Players will control a team of dynamic characters and learn their signature abilities while taking them on missions to collect new items and upgrades. Every misfit brings their own unique role and moves that can turn the tide of combat. A variety of locations will be available to explore, which feature formidable opponents that require players to use dirty tricks and advanced augmentations in real-time infiltration gameplay. Players will scour the globe for outlaws to bring them on their side, recruit new allies, and chase the Banished Court from dockyards to jungles.
Every mission gives players new resources to upgrade their teams, allowing them to keep pace as the opponents become stronger. They also must position their team quickly to get an edge in combat.
The Lamplighter League does not have a firm release date yet, but is expected to launch later this year.
