Bandai Namcoannounceda newSuper Robot Warslive streamis coming on October 12, and it will most notably featureSuper Robot Wars OGwriter Soichiro Morizumi. The stream will have the “latest information” on the series. That’s what they always say, and doesn’t necessarily means a new game getting announced. The first part of the stream will most notably focus on announcements for the 5th anniversary ofSRW X-Ω. The second part of the stream, will be an all night long talk show between the series' developers.The stream will feature the usual people: the comedy duo Gattsukitai ka, seiyuu Kenji Akabane,Super Robot WarsSeries Producer Takanobu Terada,SRW X-Ω(Cross Omega) Producer Hiroaki Oochi,SRW DDProducer Red, and others.The stream this time will most notably feature Soichiro Morizumi, one of the main scenarist of multipleSuper Robot Warsgames and theSuper Robot Wars OGseries. Working at Monolith Soft, Soichiro Morizumi was most notably the Director ofNamco X Capcomand all of its spiritual successors: theMugen no Frontier SRW OGgames, and theProject X Zonegames.ÂSoichiro Morizumi left Monolith Soft on June 10, 2025 and moved to Tri-Crescendo. However, Morizumi has been back on theSRWseries recently. He wrote theMazinger Z x Amuro Ray Crossing Pilot Scenario inSRW DD. It’s possible he’s working ona newSRW OGgame right now.Soichiro Morizumi wrote on Twitter he’s happy to be back and looking forward to the stream:
It’s also worth mentioning that on the previous stream, Producer Takanobu Terada mentioned that one day he’d like to do an at least 4 hours long stream showing off mecha toys. So expect a lot of that on the stream. NoSRWgame was released this year, so we had less streams than usual too. Moreover, with the Covid-19 pandemic, Bandai Namco tried out unusual things in 2020, like theSRWMahjong stream.
A newSuper Robot Warsgame will definitely release in 2021, probably onPS4,PS5,Switch, andPC, seeing it’ll be the series 30th anniversary. This October 2020 also marks the tenth anniversary of the latestSRW OGanime adaptation.Director Masami Obari said he’d like to make more.
