Lou Ferrigno is a name that echoes in the circles of superhero fans for his role as The Hulk. He boasted a physique impressive enough to count him among the greatest bodybuilders of all time. As Bruce Banner’s green alter ego, Ferrigno was once synonymous with Marvel’s Hulk. He played the iconic role in the CBS Television series The Incredible Hulk.
Ferrigno was a comic book fan from a very young age. Besides the likes of Hulk and Spiderman, he also loved watching DC’s iconic Caped Crusader Batman. In a previous interview, he once revealed who his favorite Batman was, and it’s not who you might expect.

In a previous interview withPioneers of Television, Lou Ferrigno shared his opinion on who his favorite Batman was. It was certainly not a tricky question for The Hulk actor as he had a clear favorite in the original BatmanAdam West. The Bruce of Marvel had nothing but praise for The Bruce of DC.
“I like the Batman series. I love Adam West. I didn’t like all those silly things where they have pow cow pow or the punching, I didn’t like that but Adam West is still the original batman.”….“They make other batman but for some reason you look at Adam West, he’s batman, his voice and um even till today he’s like 83, but there’s a persona about him and when you see him you say this is batman because uh he made batman.”– Lou Ferrigno on his favorite Batman

Following Adam West’s iconic portrayal on television, Batman has been brought to life on the big screen by several Hollywood stars. Batman’s huge success in the late 20th century led to another trilogy in the 2000s. Directed by the visionary Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale donned the role of Gotham’s Knight in what is considered to beone of the greatest trilogies of all time. Ben Affleck then joined the DC Extended Universe as a seasoned and battle-hardened Batman, while Robert Pattinson recently presented a younger and more detective-focused take on the character.
