Despite this, the movie kicked off an entire series as well as a genre of horror that lives on to this very day.
There have been many movies that have followed a similar route, having sharks as their main antagonists, and the best example of one would be47 Meters Down. While the first film did not perform that well, the second was much better. With a rating of 68% onRotten Tomatoes, it had an excellent cast, includingJamie Foxx’sdaughter, Corinne Foxx.

47 Meters DownBecomes a Trilogy
It was recently announced that47 Meters Downwill be getting a third film, titled47 Meters Down: The Wreck. The film will be directed by Patrick Lussier and is set to launch at the Cannes market. The story follows a man who, in an attempt to mend his relationship with his daughter, takes her scuba diving to explore a shipwreck.
Unfortunately, during this excursion, the pair gets stuck in deep waters and now must survive their company. While it is highly unlikely that Corinne Foxx will make an appearance in the film after her role in47 Meters Down: Uncaged, the achievement is still quite impressive.
