Completing the “One Giant Leap” quest in Starfield will automatically trigger the new game plus, resulting in loss of significant game progress.

Starting The Quest
With all the artifacts in your possession, return to your ship andbuild theArmillary. TheArmillary Screencan be found near the cockpit. Interact with theArmillary Screenand select the"Add Artifacts"option to complete the construction of theArmillary. A warning from the game will notify you that powering up theGrav Drivewill initiate a jump to theUnity. To perform aGrav Jumpelsewhere, you’ll need to remove theArmillary. Optionally, you can also check with your companions to know what they feel about you entering the Unity.
If you’re ready to travel to theUnity, lift off in your spaceship. While in space, you’ll notice that theGRV (Gravity Drive)power system has no energy allocated. Allocate one bar of energy to theGRV power systemto initiate an automated gravity jump to theUnity.

Entering The Unity
Upon arriving at the Unity,you’ll encounter an alternate version of yourself. This encounter provides anopportunity to learn more about the Unity and the Starborns. You’ll also understand the impact your choices have made in the current universe. The choices in questionspecifically refer to theStarborn you chose to side withduring your journey in the game.
You also learn that passing through the gate of light causes a part of you to be infused with the Unity, and that part becomes the Starborn, crossing into the multiverse.

If you chose to align with the Hunter instead of the Emissary during theUnearthedquest, you’ll discover that the Starborn was reborn and continued their quest for power, causing suffering to those who stood his their way.
Conversely, if you sided with theEmissary, you’ll find out that they remained in the current Universe, helping other explorers in becoming Starborn themselves, fulfilling the promise made to you.
If you killed both the Hunter and Emissary, you’ll learn that the people in the current universe will have to discover the path to the Unity on their own.
Members of the Constellation who stayed behind at the Lodgeeventually published the data on the artifacts, Starborns, and the Unity.
At this point, you have theoption to enter the Unity and start a new game plusawakening on a new Starborn ship along with the powers you’ve so far unlocked. However, if you choose not to start a new game plus,you can turn away and exit the Unity, waking up on your ship.
