Nabbing the Glacierfish on your fishing line will require a lot of trial and error, and a decent amount of effort. In order to add this legendary to your roster, use our guide to make sure you complete all the requirements.
Where To Find Glacierfish
To be able to catch theGlacierfishin Stardew Valley, you will need to make sure you havereached Level 6 in Fishing.This fish will also only beavailable in the winter during any weather.To raise your fishing level, you should fish as frequently as possible and in different areas to increase the variety of fish you catch. You can also eat something that will give you aFishing Buff to increase the experience you gain.
The exact location you will want to approach to capture the Glacierfish is at thesouthern area of Cindersap Forest, nearby to the ruined house.Head across the bridges, andgo to the bottom tip of the middle island.The Glacierfish has aFishing Zone of at least 3, which means you will want to cast your fishing pole at least 4 blocks away from landin order to get the Glacierfish on your hook. However, if there are bubbles visible in the water, itsFishing Zone will change to 2.
How To Catch Glacierfish
As you will need to be Fishing Level 6 to catch a Glacierfish, you will want tomake sure you have a good amount of experience before attempting to catch it.Try searching for one of the easier Legendary Fish first before tackling the Glacierfish.
The behavior of the Glacierfish can beboth smooth and rough,meaning it will occasionallydart up and down on your fishing bar.To make it easier to catch, you may purchaseaTrap Bobberwhich will cause the progress bar to decrease 33 percent slower when the fish is not currently in the fishing bar.When the Glacierfish jumps out of your fishing bar, it will be harder for it to escape when you have this item.
Unlike other Legendary Fish, youcannot use the Curiosity Lureto increase your chances of hooking the Glacierfish. However, when you cast your line, you have a50 percent chanceof hooking it already, so it isn’t a significantly rare catch so long as you meet all the requirements. If you want to catch the Glacierfish in any season besides Winter, you canpurchase Magic Bait at Qi’s Walnut Room.
