Star Wars Eclipsewas a huge announcement back in The Game Awards 2021, but soon after that, we heard a series of unfortunate news on the development process of the game. And now it seems things are even worse than expected.

Star Wars Eclipseis definitely the most ambitious project from Quantic Dream to this date. This is the first time that the French studio is determined to deliver a game in a genre that they have never touched before.

As a result, the team at Quantic Dream needs a lot of veterans who have enough experience in developing action games and understanding the requirements of an open-world universe.

Previously, we heard once from Tom Henderson thatStar Wars Eclipseis still far from launch as Quantic Dream needs to hire more new developers. However, a recent report from Henderson reveals that the development process for the game could be further delayed due to a lack of human resources.

Leaker Reports that Quantic Dream is Unable to Hire Enough Developers for Star Wars Eclipse

As Tom Henderson reveals in hislatest post, Quantic Dream is struggling to hire new developers for Star Wars Eclipse, despite a stellar showcase during The Game Awards 2021.

Henderson believes that the previous allegations against Quantic Dream for workplace issues could be a reason behind this struggle. The leaker believes that the game will not be available until 2027 or 2028 with the current pace.

According to some data collected by Henderson, Quantic Dream has had around 60 open positions in its job listing for the last three months for the same positions with the same page URLs. This could be a hint at the fact that the studio was unable to fulfill the required roles for the development of Star Wars Eclipse.

It’s yet to be seen how long it would take for Quantic Dream to gather a full team of developers forStar Wars Eclipse, but eventually, it might end up the studio being acquired by a giant company in the following years if the studio still struggles to hire enough workforce for its ongoing projects.
