Here’s an extra special treat for diehard fans of the originalFinal Fantasy VII. At this year’s Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix and Dengeki Hobby showed off their new line ofFinal Fantasy VII Remakefigurines and merchandise at Square’s official booth. But the crown jewel of the display is clearly these figures, which are modeled after the low-poly in-game models from the original title:

The figurines are gorgeous and a great reminder of how charming these old school graphics can be. Bad news is that according to both thestatus updateand Dengeki’sofficial site, these cuties are a part of a lottery event.

There does seem to be good news, however, as the officialEnglish Twitter accountforFinal Fantasy VII Remakealso shared the figurines:

Hopefully this means we’ll be getting a global release for them, which I would capitalize on immediately. The English account also released a recreation of theiconic artfrom the original game, so that’s a double dose of nostalgia.

According to an interview with Director Tetsuya Nomura, Final Fantasy VII RemakeÂwill have changes to theÂMateria system. The Materia will be utilized the same as in the original. However, with the combat system being different this time around there will be Materia from the old game that included in the remake. Conversely there will be brand new Materia in the newer title.

Earlier this yearÂFinal Fantasy VII RemakeÂwas playable at bothÂE3 andÂGamescom. During the former event,ÂRemake won Best of Show from Game Critics Awards. Meanwhile the game’s official Twitter account is dropping new images from the game here and there, like this one of theÂShinra building. They also released new images ofÂMidgar’s Sector 8 on the same Twitter account.

The titleÂwill release for PS4 onÂMarch 3, 2020. From what we saw so far, the game seems to be promising withÂa vast world to explore as well as aÂnew combat system that still feels likeÂFinal Fantasy VII. you may pre-order theÂDeluxe orÂStandard editionÂon Amazon.
