PlayStation icon Spyro the Dragon came back in the public eye through theSpyro Reignited Trilogyremake, but while PS4 and Xbox One owners were able to revisit the fun of those classic titles, Switch and PC users were a little less lucky. The trilogy isthought to be coming out on Switch, per a GameStop listing—likewise,Taiwan’s video game rating boardappears to indicate that it will also come to PC.The listing, which appears to have been removed at this point, included a box art picture (perGematsu), which revealed that Iron Galaxy Studios, who also ported theCrash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogyto PC is behind the port. TheCrashremakes released as a timed exclusive for the PS4, before coming out on Xbox One, Switch, and PC simultaneously approximately one year later. While I can’t imagine that players who prefer PC over console were fervent for a port ofSpyro Reignited Trilogy, given the lack of significant history between the franchise and the PC platform, such a release would cover all the bases, as Crash Bandicoot did.

Other than theSpyroandCrashoriginal trilogies, publisher Activision is also bringing a remake ofCrash Team Racing, titledCrash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, to Switch, PS4, and Xbox One simultaneously. There hasn’t been a PC release announced for that title yet, but perhaps Iron Galaxy can pick that up after theyfulfill their dreams of making aSpace Jam 2game.

Whenever this port releases for the PC, you can bet that this version will have subtitle support out of the gate, consideringthe feature was patched into the console version of the game. A bitlater than we would have liked, but hopefully everyone has learned their lesson. As we wait for further news on PC and Switch versions of theSnoop Dogg-approvedSpyro Reignited Trilogy, check back toour review of the original release.
