As someone who very recently delved into the world of new desk chair shopping, I can definitely tell you that it’s a little crazy out there right now.
Quality, comfortable, full-featured chairs cost a pretty penny, and there are also tons of options on the market that mayseemlike good purchases at first glance, until you dive far enough into the user reviews to be scared away.

After scouring Reddit for decent, cheaper options and testing out dozens of chairs at various box stores around town, I was not having any luck at all finding anything I truly liked that also wasn’t a ridiculous-feeling amount of money.
SecretLab MAGNUS Pro Pure White Sit-To-Stand Desk Review
Bright, Sleek, innovative. Everything you could ever want from a Gaming Desk!
Enter theSihoo Doro C300 Pro Ergonomic Chair, a brand you might not currently know, but one that boasts an aesthetically pleasing-enough roster of desk furniture withprice tags that won’t break most budgetsfor those of you that are shopping for a chair that you understand will be an investment moving forward.

If you’re a gamer specifically (and I’m assuming you are, because you’re on agaming websiteright now), it can be easy to be lured by more expensive options that look more of the part of the fancy, colorful chairs you may see your favorite streamers and content creators using in their videos.
To be sure, many of these are great chairs, but the ones that are actually worth your time can reach prices well higher than buying a new gaming console, while the lower-end models can often be found lacking in actual comfort and proper posture support.

If you’re someone like me that just simply wants something that feels comfortable, supportive, and premium without breaking the bank and don’t necessarily care about having the absolute flashiest chair in the game, the Sihoo Doro C300 Pro really is a super-solid option. Let me break down my experience with the chair so far.
Delivery And Packaging
It’s kind of a boring thing to talk about, but delivery and packaging are things you don’t ever think too much about with a big purchase until you find yourself hung out to dry by a damaged or super-late arrival.
Sihoo is a Chinese company, so my assumption was that I’d be receiving an overseas package that could take a while to get to me. I was surprised to see when the chair arrived a few days after my confirmation email that my package actually originated from my neighboring state in the U.S.

I’m a patient person, but it was still nice that the package came from so close by, cutting down on the chances of any damage in transit being sustained by my precious cargo. Fedex delivered the chair to my front door, and everything was in pristine condition after its quick journey to my location.
From a packaging perspective, everything was just as I’d expected and hoped as well. The whole box comes in at a fairly hefty 75 pounds, but sliding it into my living room was still entirely manageable.

Upon opening the box, it was immediately apparent thatthis product was packaged exceptionally well—each and every separate piece slotted into a cardboard cutout of its own to prevent any dings and dents that loose materials could sustain in transit.
Putting It Together
I’ve put together my fair share of furniture throughout my adulthood, but I would by no means say I’m any sort of handyman or have a future in carpentry. For me, it can always be a little daunting ordering a new piece for my home, as I’m neverreallysure how difficult assembly will be, or how long it will ultimately take my novice-self to complete the entire process.
I’ll tell you right off the bat thatputting the Sihoo Doro C300 Pro took me about 45 minutes, but that includes some added time taking notes and pictures of the process for this review, as well as improperly interpreting a direction or two on occasion.
I’d wager that most of you could put this thing together in under 45 minutes, but even if it takes you just as long as me, that’s still not really a massive time-sink in the world of furniture assembly.
Not counting all the separate nuts and bolts, the chair comes in 19 total pieces. When you factor in the fact that 10 of these pieces are either wheels or chair legs, this really isn’t a large amount of assembly to manage. I anticipated many more things to put together myself since the chair boasts so many different movement features, but I was thankfully wrong in this assumption.
A paper instruction manual comes with it, of course, and also features a QR code you can scan in order to be taken to a video version of the assembly directions.
I had personally hoped that the video would be sufficient for the entire process, but it unfortunately isn’t. The video is more of a supplemental visual aid, but does not include the specific nuts and bolts you need to use as you assemble the chair, rendering it ultimately superfluous. You’ll absolutely still need to use the paper manual as your main source of directions.
Still, this wasn’t a huge deal, as the directions are clear enough overall. Every tool, nut, bolt, and fastener you’ll need is included, and Sihoo is also kind enough to include a set of white gloves to keep the chair and your hands clean as you assemble. You also get a few spare nuts and bolts, just in case you’re prone to losing things when you take on projects like this (me).
One person can easily put this chair together, though some may struggle with one particular section where you must flip the base of the chair upside down onto a couch or table in order to properly affix the back piece to it in the necessary fashion.
I also had a couple of chair legs that didn’t pushquitecleanly enough into their base, prompting me to lean onto the pieces with all of my body weight in order to slide them into the proper position. Sure, that’s not exactly ideal, but at least I know those pieces aren’t going anywhere.
Screwing the two pieces of the chair arms together was also a source of very minor, momentary frustration as I just couldn’t get one of the screws to start threading where I needed it to. I got it eventually, so just be persistent if you happen to have the same struggle as me.
Still, these two brief setbacks and a mostly irrelevant instructional video didn’t hold me back for long, and I stillultimately walked away surprised at how straightforward and easy to manage the assembly process was overall.
Features, Function, And Fashion
As I’ve alluded to before, the Doro C300 Pro doesn’tscream"gaming chair.“It looks more like the standard office chair I had at my last corporate job.Still, you shouldn’t write the chair off as a gamer just because you might have hoped to buy something a little flashier.
What’s here is avery clean, professional-looking chairthat you may immediately tell will be supportive and comfortable in all the right places once you plop yourself down on it. It will fit right in on an important Zoom call, and also look high-end if you’re using it for any type of content streaming. It comes in black and white, and both look incredibly clean.
I demoed some similar-looking chairs a couple of months ago, and I personally was rarely wowed by the actual support and comfort of comparable models. For this reason, I was actually incredibly surprised when I started using the Doro C300 Pro and found myself really liking it very quickly.
For most of my life, I’ve been a gamer that lounges on a bed, couch, easy chair, or even the floor while I play a title. Now in my 30s, I think this lifestyle is starting to catch up with me, and I’d imagine plenty of you are in the same boat.
Decades of bad posture are now leading to some neck and back pain, and yet I still typically find myself gaming or writing on my laptop in positions that clearly aren’t good for my spine.
That’s why, for me, this chair is becoming a bit of a game changer. At first, I wasn’t sure how I’d adjust to a chair that more or less requires me to sit in it properly, but once I got used to it, it’s seriously been great.
Comhar Standing Desk Pro Q8 Review
The Comhar Standing Desk Pro Q8 offers a sleek and spacious workspace for your everyday needs.
There’s a floating lumbar support at the base of the back panel, which moves around as you shift in your chair to always verify you’re supported in the right areas. The backrest flexes with you as you shift around during a long session, too.
The armrests are advertised as “6D,” which basically boils down to them being able to be twisted, turned, raised, lowered, and angled into any configuration you realistically could require or expect.
The armrests move with very little pressure, which is nice while adjusting, but also a small annoyance point at times if you accidentally move them around while gaming/working. No big deal since they’re easy to immediately adjust again, but worth noting.
I’m someone that also moves positions a lot as I game. Sometimes, I’ll be sitting straight up with both feet on the floor. Other times, I’ll want to recline my chair with one or both of my feet propped up on the seat.
The Doro C300 Pro allows for all of this, thanks in large part to its extended bottom seat cushion and super-stable, hefty design which will always keep you feeling secure no matter what position you’re putting the chair in.
Really,I can’t talk enough about how comfortable I felt in this chair, and how well it supported me and kept my neck and back pain-free as I worked throughmy most recent video game experience. Ergonomics, am I right?
One thing I’d say I wished the chair had is a dedicated foot restif you want to kick your feet up, but that’s also not a feature typically seen executed well by competitors in this price range, and it’s easy enough to place something in front of you to prop your feet up if you so desire anyway.
Another nice feature of the chair is the lever on the bottom of the seat cushion that controls each and every function from one simple-to-use spot. I’ve sat in chairs before that feel like some weird jigsaw puzzle to maneuver, never sure which lever or switch actually does what, and looking like an idiot as I’d fumble around adjusting things as best I could.
The single lever of the Doro C300 Pro reclines, raises and lowers the chair, and adjusts seat depth all from one handy location.
While I tested the Pro model of this chair in this review, it’s important to note that there is also another, non-Pro, slightly cheaper model available for those looking to save a few bucks. Here’s how the prices stack up:
Sihoo Doro C300
Sihoo Doro C300 Pro
These listed prices appear to be marked down from higher totals on the Sihoo website, butI currently do not know if these price drops are permanent or a limited-time feature. I’ve kept my eye on both of these for a little while now with no price adjustment, so I’d wager that the prices listed above are standard.
If I were you,I’d now be asking what the difference really is in both models to warrant a $90 price increase for the Pro. Let’s take a look at what the Pro boasts over the regular model:
It’ll be up to you personally if these features are enough to get you to spring for the Pro model, but you’ll definitely want to take a look at the specs onSihoo’s websiteto ensure the standard option fits your needs if you aren’t sure you want to upgrade to the Pro.
I will say that the size of the Pro combined with the excellent single adjustment lever and ability to recline further do make a big difference for me, but you’ll have to weigh these options for yourself as best you can.
Closing Comments: Score 8.5/10
Bottom line, the Sihoo Doro C300 Pro is a really solid option in its price range. Office and gaming chairs have gotten pricey these days, so it’s awesome to have an alternative choice that looks professional, has great ergonomic design, and isn’t a beast to assemble. I wish the armrests could more effectively lock into place, would’ve loved a footrest, and the linked assembly video isn’t the most informative. For someone with subpar posture and some minor aches and pains, the comfortable and supportive design really had me feeling better than ever after each particularly long gaming session. If you’re in the market for a new chair that won’t break the bank, this is a worthy one to consider.
