Despite the mixed critical reviews for the film, it was considered a box office success. Interestingly, Schumacher and Val Kilmer didn’t see eye to eye during filming, resulting in a clash between the two. When Schumacher returned with anotherBatmanfilm, Kilmer chose to not reprise his role as Bruce Wayne.
