Even with this announcement, don’t expect it anytime soon, as Saber states that it is “likely years away” from seeing the light of day. This also doesn’t mean that support for Space Marine 2 is waning. On the contrary, the studio doubled down on its stance on the game’s post-release support.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Will Feature Single-Player And Multiplayer
Thepress releasethat was sent out confirms that Saber Interactive will once again be the developers tapped to helm the sequel, and Focus Entertainment will be doing the publishing duties.
While there are no gameplay-specific details available yet, the announcement promises “bigger battles, more action and more enemies to purge.”
As one might expect, there will be a single-player campaign, which will star Titus, and there’s confirmation of “multiplayer modes” as well. Chances are, this means the game’s campaign co-op mode will once again be a central mode in the game, as well as the various multiplayer modes where players can pit their skills against Tyranids and even against other players.
“We have been honored by the incredible response from fans following the launch of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. We will continue to support the game with exciting content and regular updates in the coming years. Today, we are thrilled to announce that the adventure will continue with Space Marine 3. Players can look forward to an immersive campaign, a multiplayer mode, and innovations that will redefine the standards of third-person action games…,” according to Saber.
The studio adds that they view Space Marine 3 “as an opportunity to create a true love letter to the Warhammer 40,000 universe.”
After Space Marine 2’s Success, Warhammer Company “Looking For The Next One”
Warhammer brand parent company Games Workshop is looking for the next Space Marine 2 video game hit.
Saber Interactive says that “years” of support are still coming to Space Marine 2. Players can expect “a jawdropping lineup of new missions, additional upgrades and more enemies to introduce to the business-end of your bolt rifle.”
Released in September of 2024, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was one of the surprise hits of the year. Not only was it a commercial success, but critics also liked it. Over onOpen Critic, Space Marine 2 is sitting at a “Strong” rating with a Top Critic Average of 81.
