Roman Reigns’ match with his real-life cousin Dwayne Johnson is one that has been teased for a very long time now but has failed to reach fans in its entirety.
That’s why when The Rock openly challenged Reigns recently at WWE Raw by asking if he should sit at the “Head of the Table” when he goes out to eat something later that night, fans were utterly exhilarated.
However, while that match further seemed like a possibility with reports about Johnson considering signing up with WrestleMania, all that possibility has now seemingly gone down the drain as Cody Rhodes was recently crowned the King of the Royal Rumble once again.
This means that instead of The Rock, Roman Reigns will have to face Rhodes in the ring. And as expected, Reigns was as annoyed by this news as ever.

Roman Reigns’ Annoyed Reaction To Cody Rhodes Winning WWE Royal Rumble

The most recent event in the WWE wrestling world was Royal Rumble 2024, which sawCM Punkand Cody Rhodes last until the end in the ring only to have Rhodes defeat his opponent to bag the Royal Rumble crown for the second time in a row.
After the match, Rhodes even pointed toward the box office seats and straight atRoman Reignsto make it clear that he had chosen his next opponent whom he would face at WrestleMania 40, the next ring where he is headed.
Since the pair have a long-raging rivalry that was fueled last year at the main event of WrestleMania 39 whenDwayne Johnson‘s real-life cousin defeated The American Nightmare in the ring, fans were expecting Reigns to be happy.
However, looking at his reaction to Rhodes’ win, happiness was the last thing he had in mind. If anything, Reigns initially looked terrifyingly shocked to see his rival win before making it evident just how annoyed he was at it, as shared by@wwe on Instagram.
The reason behind this annoyance was simple: SinceCody Rhodespunched the ticket to WrestleMania 40, it would mean that Reigns would no longer get the chance to battle his real-life cousin in the ring if he lost against Rhodes.
Another equally understandable reason behind this might be the fact that Reigns is simply bored by Rhodes by now considering how he has once already defeated him previously, and was looking for something exciting, i.e. match with the People’s Champ.
Thus, instead of Roman Reigns finishing The Rock or vice versa, it seems that it just might be Cody Rhodes who would be finishing the story this time around and perhaps taking his place at the “Head of the Table” (much to Reigns’ disappointment, might we mention it).

Well, for one, Roman Reigns’ reign at the “Head of the Table” seems to be on the verge of its expiration now that Cody Rhodes has once again won the WWE Royal Rumble. But that could change as well, for all we know.
