“EA should have the Star Wars licence taken away!”: Details Regarding Respawn’s Cancelled Mandalorian FPS Game Have Leaked

Titanfalllaunched back in 2014 where it features first-person combat and was just a multiplayer title until Respawn worked onTitanfall 2released in 2016, no mainline follow-up was released since then and fans are hoping for a third sequel, which may not be the case.

The Upcoming Titanfall Could Feature Some Ideas Of Respawn’s Cancelled Star Wars Game

While this is a positive sign that despite the layoffs, cancellations, and changes that are happening internally, Respawn Entertainment held its head up high and continued its work. Though, a new Star Wars game set outside theStar Wars Jediseries would be a nice change of pace, perhaps one day the project will be resurrected, or concepts of the canned game will manifest in some way in other projects.

The universe ofTitanfallheavily resembles that of a galaxy far, far away, and the fact players use Titans to fight other players in the multiplayer mode. Reports fromInsider Gamingclaim that the director of the first two games is working on a new project set within the same universe, could it be a battle royale or a linear story, no one knows for sure.

Both Titanfall and the Mandalorian have a lot in common, from combat and traversal, it could have worked.

According to the reporter Jeff Grubb, the upcoming game is not aTitanfallsequel, but it will include Titans. It seems that Electronic Arts (EA) has faith in its original intellectual property instead of relying on popular media franchises like Star Wars. EA’s original games have been highly successful and well-received by fans. Despite the immense popularity ofThe Mandalorianin the Star Wars universe,EA has chosen to prioritizeMarvel’s Iron Manfor their upcoming game.

While the likelihood of another multiplayer game for EA is low,Apex Legendsis a massive triumph for the company, and wouldn’t want to divide its community and development team’s focus, there is always a possibility it will incorporate the early ideas for the canceled Star Wars project and rename it into aTitanfallgame.

The Mandalorian Fell So Titanfall Could Rise

The Mandalorianhad the potential to be another hit for Respawn, given its surge in popularity and intriguing storyline. However, the studio deserves commendation for its dedication to its intellectual property, expanding and elevating it to new heights. Director Steve Fukuda is currently working on something truly remarkable.

Respawn doesn’t need to make another game based on someone else’s IP, they were doing fine with the originalTitanfallgames and did even better when they shifted gears and worked onStar Wars: Jedi Fallen Orderand the sequel which is a display of their flexibility, skill, and talent to make great games and achieve new heights.
