On the other hand, the showcase is supposed to share more details on Resident Evil Village Winter Expansion which arrives later this month. The new expansion features Rose as a playable character and will follow the original story years after the incidents of Resident Evil Village. In addition to a story-driven campaign, the expansion also includes an improvement to the Mercenaries section, bringing new playable characters including Lady Dimitrescu, and adding more variety to the mode’s enemies.

Last but not least, the expansion includes a new third-person mode, which will allow players to experience the original campaign of Resident Evil Village in the third-person view if they find the first-person version more horrifying than necessary.

Resident Evil Village is another title that will be supported on PSVR 2, and while we have already seen a brief gameplay video from the VR version, the upcoming showcase might fully explain the gameplay mechanics such as movements and shooting in the VR version.

It is unlikely to see any new announcement regarding a new project from the Resident Evil series, but Capcom might provide some updates on Resident Evil ReVerse, an online multiplayer experience based on the series that is supposed to be available along with the Winter expansion. In ReVerse, players participate in an online Deathmatch mode, where the winner is the player who earns the highest score by killing opponent players. A wide variety of characters from Jill Valentine to Leon Kennedy will be available in the game. It is based on a third-person shooter, with some unique rules.
