All the adventures you are embarking on will of course include many boss fights.Mantagora is one that will definitely take some patience. At first, it may seem impossible as your shots may not do much damage, however, there are some tricks and tips to get through this boss fight.

Mantagora will be located in the Imperial Gardens which you’re able to get to through the Forbidden Grove. However, keep in mind that it may not spawn for you right away as it is random. If you don’t have this area, you could try re-rolling in Adventure Mode orre-rolling in Campaign modethough remember you may lose your progress by doing this. When you re-roll, you’ll need to progress through the Forbidden Grove and hope for the Imperial Gardens to be one of the spawned areas.

The best part of this boss is you won’t have to travel very far in this region before finding it.Mantagora will be flying around this whole area, peacefully for the most part, until you engage with it.She will then proceed to protect herself with any means necessary.

Mantagora Fight

Don’t be intimidated when you initiate the attack and the health doesn’t go down very much.It will be resistant to most elementals, but high-powered guns will work great with it. Consider upgrading your weapons as well as abilities at Ward 13 with McCabe and Rigs.

Weapon Suggestions

If youdefeated the Nightweaverat the Tormented Asylum, then you will have the Nightfall long gun in your possession. If you have yet to craft it, head over to McCabe in the garage in Ward 13. This gun is fairly powerful against Mantagora. The downfall is the magazine size of 10 and considering Mantagora takes many, many shots to be defeated, you will have to kill surrounding enemies to pick up more ammo.

Another great gun for this fight would beones with a larger magazinesuch as the MP60-R or the Blackmaw AR-47 long gun. Though the best gun for you to use would be the one that has been upgraded and has high damage. As with any game though, there arethe top performing weaponsthat go above and beyond any other weapon.

Mantagora’s Attacks

Once you initiate the fight, Mantagora will remain in the sky but send fireballs falling from the sky exploding near you. This is where your dodging will come in handy. It will also spawn Root enemies to attack you. This may actually work to your advantage as you can run out of ammo fairly quickly trying to defeat Mantagora. This will ensure that you always have ammo. The root tendrils will be difficult to maneuver but if you time it just right, you’ll be able to avoid it.

Defeating Mantagora

The closer you are to Mantagora, the more damage your guns will seem to do.You can get close when this majestic and radiant creature swoops down at you randomly. It’s recommended you stay in open areas, so you don’t get trapped by the spawns of minions or her attacks. Unless you have multiple people in your party to wait at random parts of the map, you will either have to try and follow her throughout the map, shooting at her when you get a chance, or stay in one spot to wait for her to come back around to you.

If you’re patient, you will get her health down slowly but surely.Remember to stay aware of your surroundings as other enemies will be around. You could probably even defeat her while staying near the Checkpoint at the beginning of this map. However, you will have to venture to the other enemies when you run out of ammo.

Take cover when possible and when it’s not possible, simply dodge her attacks.Try to limit your use of healing unless you absolutely need it, so it will last throughout this fight. In total, depending on the damage your weapon has as well as a few other factors, this boss fight should take anywhere from a few minutes to up to 20 or so minutes.

Once Mantagora is defeated, she will simply disintegrate and fall out of the sky.You will then be reward greatly and receive a few various drops for defeating her.The amount of some of these rewards may vary but either way, it’ll be worth having a go at Mantagora to receive this loot.
