In every shooter game, the weapons dictate the player’s play style and experience. The gunplay can either be excellent or sloppy, changing the overall flow of the game. Without good weapons, the game becomes stale and boring. This is not the case forRemnant 2, however.

Why Use The Atom Smasher
Atom Smasheris a fast-swinging hammer melee weapon with a mod that allows it to increase its attack speed. Any charged attack will allow this weapon to attack faster for a short while. It’s better than the majority of other melee weapons due to itsfast attack speed, andability to stagger enemies. It can be obtained from thetrain event at Terminus station on N’Erud.
The Atom Smasher is present in the final cabin of the train after completing the event and requires some platforming to obtain. The weapon is fairly easy to acquire, so there’s no downside to finding it and checking it out to see if it fits your play style. The fast attack speed of the hammer makes it extremely fun compared to other weapons, and the damage is good enough for lower difficulties.
14Stone Breaker

Why Use The Stone Breaker
Stonebreakeris a heavy melee weapon withhigh damage and a slower attack speed. It does significant amounts of damage with the right build, but does put the player in melee range, which is disadvantageous in greater difficulties. However, with the right mods, the weapon can deal enough AOE damage to give the player some breathing room, mitigating its biggest downside.
You can obtain the Stone Breaker fromthe Corruptor boss fight on Yaesha. If you don’t own the Pan Guardian, the Corrupter will drop a Hollow Heart which is the core material required to craft the Stone Breaker. You will also need Luminite Crystals and some Scraps to craft the weapon.
Great Acid Damage Inflicting Handgun
Why Use The Nebula
Nebulais a handgun that fires a stream of acid-type damage, applying a corroded effect thatdeals damage over time. Enemies killed by the gun produce a cloud of gas which deals with the on-hit effects of this gun. Its damage over time effect allows the player to swap to a long gun, further increasing total damage output, making it a strong choice for many builds.
Its mod also helps similarly, dealing good amounts of damage over time because of the acid aspect. It can be obtained by refusing Tal Ratha’s offer to eat you and killing him to obtain spice bile. Offer up this material to McCabe at ward 13, who will then craft it into the weapon.

TheWidowmakeris basically the sniper rifle of Remnant 2. It hashigh base damageand ahigh weak spot multiplier.Apart from these obvious benefits, this weapon can only be fully utilized if the player has good aim. It only has a single bullet in the magazine, which forces you to reload quite often. The high reload time is also quite restrictive, but it’s still highly effective as a secondary weapon for starting an engagement.

World’s Edgeis a melee weapon with very strong stats but is very difficult to acquire. The weapon’s strength comes from how good it is at staggering enemies, as it has one of thehighest stagger modifiers in the game- making it very good in all situations. Charging the weapon also fires horizontal waves, granting it a decent reach for enemies who are a little further away.
World’s Edge is the hardest weapon to acquire in the entire game, as it requires you to beat the game on apocalypse difficulty. This may be quite a challenge for players who are new to the game, but at least you won’t have to go out of your way to acquire it from a quest. It’s almost worth the effort of playing the game on the highest difficulty because of itsversatility, and ability to stagger enemies effectively.
9Rune Pistol

TheRune Pistolis a very strong handgun thatfires semi-automatic rounds at a fast fire rate. Itprovides ample damage at close rangeand has a good amount of ammo, making it viable for crowd control. Compared to other handguns, the Rune Pistol feels much better to use. Getting the Alpha/Omega may not be straightforward, but it doesprovide great DPS. Once you beat the final boss of the game, Annihilation, no matter the difficulty, you’ll get the ‘Forgotten Memory’ item. You can craft it into the Alpha/Omega by taking it to McCabe in Ward 13.
