Red Dead Redemptionhas received a newrating in Korea, leading many to believe thatRockstar Gamesmay be working on a remastered edition of the 2010 title.
As spotted byGematsu, the rating was published earlier this month with the classification number “CC-NV-230615-001.” According to Gematsu, the NV in this classification number is associated with console games, whilst the code NP refers to PC titles. However, despite the fact that this classification number only includes the code NV, does not mean that the existence of a PC version is completely off the table.

Rockstar Games has yet to announce a remaster or remake of Red Dead Redemption, so we recommend taking these details with a pinch of salt for the time being.
The studio didconfirm last yearthat development resources had steadily been shifted to the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series. As such, this meant support for Red Dead Online would be winding down. As many Rockstar fans will be well aware, the studio also suffered a huge leak back in September, with early development footage of GTA 6 emerging online.
It’s clear that Rockstar is putting as much of its resources as possible into the next Grand Theft Auto title, so a Red Dead Redemption remaster would come as a surprise to many. But it’s also possible that Rockstar has outsourced to another studio for the rumored remaster, which we’ve seen before with the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.
The trilogy remake was released in November of 2021 and was published by Rockstar Games, but developed by Grove Street Games. Unfortunately, Rockstar’s first dabble into the world of remakes didn’t go down too well with fans. The trilogy was released broken, glitchy, and full of bugs, causing Rockstar torelease an apologyshortly after its release.
Fans have already been reacting to the rumor of a potential Red Dead Redemption remaster, with one usersaying"A Remake in the style of RDR2 would be a dream come true." Whilst another mocked the infamous GTA Trilogy remake bysaying, “Its all fun and games until you see the Grove Street Games logo.”
