It’s not often that Rockstar Games releases client-side patches for their games, even though both Red Dead Online and GTA Online are updated weekly, they are often server-side patches which occur in-game.

Yesterday’sGrand Theft Auto Vupdate saw a whole host of fixes and improvements across last-gen, current-gen, and PC. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S users finally received a new motion blur option, whilst PC users discovered that files from the Expanded and Enhanced edition had been added to their platform, suggesting big updates were on the horizon.

The latestRed Dead Redemption 2update began rolling out on the Rockstar Games Launcher and Steam earlier today, coming in at 4.11GB and 2.8GB respectively. There are currently no reports of the patch appearing on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, but they may be deployed later today.

Users on theGTA Forumare theorising that today’s update is merely for numerous bug fixes and improvements, but the large download size does have fans questioning what exactly could be included. One user speculates that today’s update “likely [addresses] the same issues GTAO had with stray invites and teleporting to lobbies”.

According to Twitter userBen, today’s update could be to fix a recent invite exploit on PC, but further fixes are also expected to be included.
