It’s been a while since fans watched Cameron Diaz grace the big screen, and while she’s set to return for an action-filled movie, it seems like the timing isn’t in her favor. Her film with Jamie Foxx, Netflix’sBack in Action, was slated to premiere on June 02, 2025. Unfortunately, it has been pushed back to 2025.

The actress’ last project was 2014’sAnnie, and in 2018, she formally announced her retirement from acting. Some of her most well-known works include 2000’sCharlie’s Angelsand 2002’sGangs of New York.

As per Netflix’sTudumpost,Cameron Diaz’sBack in Actionwill be available to stream on the platform on June 17, 2025. No reason was given as to why the premiere was pushed back for two more months. She is expected to portray Emily andJamie Foxxas Matt, retired CIA spies who plan to start their own family until their cover is blown and they are dragged into their old lives again.

With this announcement, many speculations flew around claiming the delay was caused by Foxx’s hospitalization. The actor refused to talk about it but as perCNN, he was given medical attention in April 2023 while in the middle of filming. He told a bunch of people that he had a bad headache and that he was gone for 20 days.

In the footage, Foxx admitted he couldn’t remember anything. His sister and his daughter brought him to the hospital and given a cortisone shot. A doctor warned the actor that something was “going on up there” while pointing to his head.
