Every Research Area offers new opportunities to find Pokemon. Here’s a list of all the Research Areas in the game.

What Are Research Areas?
Research Areas are the regions that you will be exploring to find new Pokemon. Each region has its own unique Pokemon and traits.You can find differentSleep Stylesin different Research Areas. Considering you get to pick a new Research Area each week (or sooner if you have an E-Zzz Travel Ticket), you can see a good amount of the game pretty quickly.Each Research Area has its own requirements to unlock and travel within.Here’s a list of those Research Areas, their requirements, and what they give to players.
Greengrass Isle
The first Research Area you are introduced to in the game is Greengrass Isle. This is where you will have to stay until you unlock the next area. The region’s description reads “The largest island in the region, known for its fertile land covered with greenery. It hosts the greatest variety of Pokemon.“This area has a total of 77 Dozing Sleep Style Pokemon, 89 Snoozing Sleep Style Pokemon, and 69 Slumbering Sleep Style Pokemon.
Cyan Beach
Cyan Beach is the next Research Area unlocked. You need 20 Sleep Styles to be able to research here. Once unlocked, you can find 56 Dozing Type, 52 Snoozing Types, and 48 Slumbering Type Pokemon.The area is full of Water-Type Pokemon. The description reads “The shore of fine white sand stretches to the horizon, kissed by a gentle sea breeze. Many Water-type Pokemon live here.”

Taupe Hallow
Taupe Hallow is unlocked next. You need to discover 70 Sleep Styles to reach this island.It is unknown the total amount of Pokemon located here just yet. However, it is known that this has Rock-Type and Ground-Type Pokemon. The description reads “Shafts of sunlight pour through the open ceiling to light up the cavern walls. Rock- and Ground-type Pokemon love it here.”
Snowdrop Tundra
The final Research Area is the Snowdrop Tundra. Again, not much is known about this area just yet. However, it is known that you need to discover 150 Sleep Styles in order to reach this Research Area.It contains mainly Ice-Type Pokemon. The description reads “Gorgeous flowers bloom in this freezing tundra, despite the unrelenting snowfall. Many Ice-type Pokemon can be found here.”
